It has happened multiple times to me that after the turn I have top pair and villain has a flush draw (two cards of the same suit on the board). What's the best way of playing the hand in that situation?

Mathematically speaking, they only have a ~18% chance of hitting their flush, so the correct play would be to bet at least pot/4 in order to not give them the odds. But if we consider implied odds they would still call a pot/4 size bet. Hence probably around pot/3 or pot/2 would be better. Is that the correct reasoning?

Shove for sure! They're going to call (or even raise) regardless of what you bet, so make it count.

You dont know, what your opponent has, unless you reach showdown. Until then the opponent has a range, and flushdraws never make up 100% of that range. Therefore you can not develop a strategy, which is perfect against a flushdraw, because it might be bad against other parts of their range.

I think you can bet more then pot/2 because you hand the best in this game time and you can force your opponent to buy more expensive
