Thoughts on 72o

As funny as it sounds 72o is probably my favourite hand in poker. The thrill of just trying to steal a pot when i have the worst hand just makes me love the game. I love 72o.
What do you guys think about it??

72o is called the worst possible hand for a reason, it might be fun to hit a big pot with it once in a great while but you should make sure you aren't costing yourself chips in the long run.

I think “72” - is the worst hand in poker and the most unpromising hand on the board. That's a fact, and I don't think you're going to argue with that. Okay, my only question is: what are you going to do if another player re-raises? Trust me, there are no weak players in this Community. And I wouldn't post what hand I like to bluff with.

As long as you have this mentality, you will never win at poker! If you want to be a good player, never play with this hand, unless you have to go any two. However, if you just want to have fun, feel free to do whatever you want.

Yeah obviously it depends on the situation if i raise and someone raises me again its a no brainer fold.. but when someone calls and i can use my percieved range as an advantage to steal the pot thats when im throwing money in the pot…. Im not going all in for jokes 😭😭

Really huh i beg to differ.. only if i occasionally play the 72 and bluff spots will i be unpredictable.. otherwise good poker players will easily know when to just fold

If you want to be a player who plays just for fun, that's fine, you have the right to do whatever you want. However, if you want to evolve and be truly profitable, get that idea out of your head, you don't become unpredictable by playing like that, quite the opposite, you become a very exploitable player.

This video portrays well what I said, technically it is a horrible play, but for entertainment it is excellent.

The only time I will think about playing 72o is when it's folded to me on the button and the blinds are folding a huge amount of the time, and 10 years ago I could get away with playing just like that, now with loads of players limping into my button I'm folding 72o. Now I'm just hoping to check on the BB 😂

Every once in a while I see this when I am all in with AA or something, and I always wonder what is this person thinking ?

Sure any hand can potentially win, but the fundamentals of poker success are against playing this kind of crap.
