Day 3 completed, it's interesting how ranges are key to making strategic decisions. They help evaluate the strength of hands and determine when to bet, raise, or fold. They are essential for making informed decisions in every hand.

Nowadays, the range has varied a lot, something little or not at all? I have doubts because I have seen very different rank tables and support software such as Gto Wisard sometimes tell me different things than usual in postflod betting

Love to see members are still using our course! Thanks for the feedback!

With random cards I would play so to speak and what I would create with them if the choice of hands is important 🙂 whether I would throw this or that hand and whether I would include them at some point in the game 🙂

This is by far the most difficult (atleast yet) concept in poker for me. Loved this lesson and guessed right the quiz question! Yay.

Make sure that the ranges you put Villain to are congruent and make sense. Nice, and I see the point. But what if the dude is a complete maniac? Or they are just playing Bingo? Might not be a thing against regs or better players, but I play only at lowest stakes because of lacking a good BR and here you find so many strange folks, that I start to ask myself, if building opponent ranges makes sense. I surely see it as a tool and skill I need to get better as Poker player, but I am afraid that it will be kind of speculative at the lowest stakes I am able to play. Still will practice it nonetheless because it makes sense. It only has some smell of alchemy on it. At least at this point on my learning path. For the quiz I had the Villain on KK+, AQs and AKo.

Thank you for Video 3 – Putting Your Opponent on a Range! This was such a valuable lesson — it really shifted the way I think during hands.

Instead of focusing on just one possible hand, I’m now starting to consider full ranges, which makes my decisions more logical and less emotional. I appreciate how clearly the concept was explained. Looking forward to applying this at the tables and to the next lesson!

  • To play “okay” poker: hand reading is enough.
  • To play “winning” poker: you must think in ranges. :)
  • To play “great” poker: you must know population ranges, then exploit. :giggle:
