I had AK and I wanted to go all-in, but something told me to hold back. It turned out that my opponent had A.A. Poker isn't just about cards, it's also about instincts.

Usually stubbornly continuing with hands that look very good to us at the time does not necessarily lead to victory. Unfortunately, we gave up a lot, and it seems like a bad story but I've given up the pair of aces in my hand many times because of what was obvious at the table.

Online when you play poker you can see many such bad beats , AK against AA or KK against AA . Sometimes you cannot avoid it , you just move to the next game and hand .

I agree, but I'm stubborn and generally, I pay to see, poker isn't poker if you stop taking risks.

I actually want to comment on your title. It says: "Sometimes the best move is to fold", I say: "Most of the time, the best move is to fold".

I would not call this feeling an instinct. It's more like an intuition. I rarely rely on intuition, I just try to calculate the percentage that allows me to determine whether the risk is justified.

It depends. How many tokens/blinds are involved?
What is the phase of the tournament? Bubble? Payjump?

There are moments when you can't wait any longer
