While I see this a lot I remain bewildered by it. AhJd on a 3s4s6c is NOT a great hand to make a big call with. Yet, we see it all the time. It goes along with the 'never bet but always call' phenomenon (check-call, check-call, check-call). It could be that tight players assume that everybody is tight and couldn't possibly have made a big raise pre-flop with anything less than AhJd or a hand that likes 3s4s6c.

Ah well. It isn't rocket science I guess.

Poker changed a lot, people are getting crazier these days, making tight players try to extract the most from their few top hands. Unfortunately, poker seems to be awarding the dumbests nowadays. Jonathan Little talks about it, calling stations dominated the felt.
