Hi everyone!

I'm from South Africa and I've recently only recently started playing poker for real money about a month ago. I have played poker before, but mostly on free Apps and casual games, so I'm pretty new to playing with real stakes.

Right now, I'm sticking to low stakes and trying to learn as much as I can. My goal is to eventually be able to play in big tournaments and win... I know pretty big ambitions, but setting a goal is important. I'm excited to join the CardsChat community to connect with other players, learn strategy, and take part in some freerolls.

Looking forward to being part of the group!

Hi everyone!
Welcome to Cardschat, and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask, we are here to help.🙂

You may be interested in knowing how to level up and participate in all Cardschat freerolls, so follow the instructions below:

1- You start your journey in Cardschat at Bronze level and can only play the freerolls at your level for now. To find the passwords, just log in as shown below, remembering that the passwords are always posted 30 minutes before the start of the tournament.

Note: You can also participate in some exclusive VIP tournaments, even if you are at Bronze level, but you need VIP tokens to pay for your registration, read item 3 below on how to get VIP tokens.

2- To move up to Silver and Platinum level, and be able to participate in all Cardschat freerolls, read the topic below carefully.

3- It is also important that you participate in the Cardschat VIP program, this will help you move up to the Platinum level faster, and also participate in some exclusive freerolls with your VIP chips, so read the topic below carefully.

Welcome to the game! 👋

Best advice: start with tight and aggressive play. Learn about position, hand ranges, and bankroll management.

There’s a ton of great free content out there — books like “The Course” by Ed Miller or Jonathan Little’s videos helped me a lot when I started.

And don’t worry about losses early on — just focus on learning and reviewing hands. Good luck!

Welcome to the CardsChat community — and thanks for sharing your journey!

It’s awesome that you’ve made the move from free apps to real money poker, and even better that you’re starting with low stakes while focusing on learning. That’s exactly the kind of disciplined approach that sets a solid foundation for long-term success. Many players dive into higher stakes too quickly, but taking your time to understand the game, manage your bankroll, and build confidence is a smart move.

Setting big goals is important, and it’s great that you’re aiming for major tournaments. With dedication, the right mindset, and the support of a community like this one, you’ll keep improving step by step. Don’t hesitate to ask questions, share hands, or join freerolls — it’s a great way to learn and grow.

Wishing you the best of luck on your poker journey — and see you around the forum and at the tables!
