Please could anyone help me, English is not my native language so I asked my friend to translate an article about freerolls strategy for beginners, from Russian into English, could someone tell me if this part of text good enough for publishing on english website.
At the initial stage the size of your stack is considerably bigger than the size of blinds. It makes 60-100BB at the first level of blinds. Thus lots of weak players are still in the game. They will be eager to see a flop as it is so cheap with practically any two card they have. There is a well known principle (rule) in poker when the style of play should be just the opposite to the style the majority of players at the table have. That is why at the initial stage you should play tightly. In initial positions the majority of hands should be played either with a raise or with fold, except small and middle pairs 22-TT. When you have such pairs you’d better get in the game and see the flop in hope of catching a set, and take the stack away from one or even two contenders who has got the luck to catch the high or even the middle pair.
