Phil Gordon's LITTLE GREEN BOOK and would like to know what your thoughts are on it if you have read this book.

Its been a while since I read it but I was impressed at the time. The one thing I remember is it is very well written and he gets his points across loud and clear.

I almost done TOP so I might go back to little green book and start all my books over.

I like'd the Blue book a lot, too. Lots of interesting examples with good analysis. Learned some key strategies and helped me in my analysis of my own hands and situations.

The blue book will definitely be my next purchase next week.

I agree with skold. The green book is a good one, one of 2 I own along with HOH1. The blue I got from the library and read it cover to cover twice before I had to return it.

Definitely read the green first though, as the blue is just examples showing the green book's strategies in practice. The blue is worthwhile on its own too but more valuable if you've read the green first.

Hi Shinedown. I kow that im only new to Poker but i have read both the green and blue book. Both excellent in my humble opinion. The green should be read first and is laid out well and he explains his points well. He doesnt tell the reader how they should play hands in certain scenarios he tell you how and why he would play hands in certain scenarios, if you get what i mean.

I think that both books are highly entertaining, well written and highly informative. they are a good insight into the mindset of a professional poke r player.

The blue book was a good commentary on a vast number of hands and a good follow on from the green book.
Excellent purchase.

good purchase, good value for money. Depends on your level of poker as to how much you get out of it. I like the way he discusses what he would do and why rather than suggesting you play a specific way.

I have always found Phil to be one of the most insightful NLHE strategists going. Not only are his books excellent, I used to watch Celebrity Poker Showdown just to hear his tips and comments.

One of my favourite books..

Yes, Phil Gordon's Little Green book is one of my favourites....it helped me step up my aggressive game because it taught me when and how to do it.

It gives a good breakdown of categorizing different players and then how to be aggressive or not against them.

Also I liked his examples sprinkled in the book of how much he would raise with various hands and why he would raise that amount or why he would raise in the first place.

I recently lent it to someone...and just realized I should ask for it back because I often refer to it when I'm waiting somewhere and have brought it with me to read.

Cheers,
Vegas Cat
