For beginners, it's best to start with a tight and aggressive game style. This means playing fewer hands but also being more aggressive. A tight game: play only strong hands and throw off weak ones. This reduces the risk of losing money on speculative hands.

Thanks in fact it's how I try to play

That’s a smart approach — freerolls are a perfect way to learn, practice, and build discipline without financial risk. Since you’re treating poker as a hobby and don’t want to spend much, your focus should be on fundamentals, bankroll management, and strategy reading that’s accessible.

I would advise you to play as many tournaments as possible. Theory is fine, and you can read a few books, but the most effective tool for learning poker is practice. I also see nothing wrong with investing in poker. You can play cash games from time to time at low limits. :)

Welcome to poker! When I started, I realized that having a study routine is just as important as playing hands. One useful tip is to look into some basic GTO concepts early, so you build good habits from the start.

Actually, this article was recommended to me by an AI assistant I use for study guidance, and it explains the first steps in a really clear way:
How to Win at Poker: Key Strategies for Beginners Hope it helps you too!
