But i don't think a high W$SD is bad in general. I've heard the same comment as you (folding too many hands before SD) but without WTSD i don't really think it means much at all, as a high W$SD could also mean you just read well and make a higher % of the correct laydowns and correct calls in the pots you go to SD.
 
I have a high W$SD (55-60% typically) but my WTSD is pretty standard at ~27. And i run pretty good (8BB/100 @ NL50) and i certainly don't consider this one of the things i have to work on. 
 
You'd be better off worrying about plugging more obvious things. Post your stats if you are worrying about plugging leaks. If you are thinking about using W$SD to make reads, i'd be very careful as you need a huge amount of hands for such smaller aspects to be helpful.
