All I think at the time is, 'How is it possible for me to lose so much?' I want to know how you deal with this and how you can help me.

The most natural answer to this is to use bankroll management, because it answers this question.
In my personal opinion, until you go through one or two such bad luck streaks, you will not learn from it, you will fall into the same trap over and over again.
You have to pay attention to the signs, if you're having a bad day, you shouldn't continue playing because you're guaranteed to fail.
If you are already on tilt, you have to finish the game, you can never go into a winning streak out of anger/defiance.
You can only sit down with a clear head to play. There may be 1-2 worse hands that you can annoy yourself with, but you shouldn't dwell on these either (beyond trying to learn from them), because then you'll lose out on future hands. Take a short break (even sit out for a few minutes) and when you have calmed down enough, sit back down.
For a player on tilt, it is the hardest thing to calm down, but you have to learn this, otherwise everything will only get worse.

I would suggest you give up poker, or stick to freerolls until you have studied some more and learned to curb your impetutousness. If you don#t, you are in for an expensive ride.

Bankroll management, you decide what amount of money is acceptable for that day...choose games you love - if it still not "working", change the game...but always in the back of your mind have the amount that you have/can lose in one point and don't get upset about it....

There are basically two healthy ways to play poker. One is to play with a budget, and the other is to play with a bankroll. If you play with a budget, say $100 per month, then you should set this as a deposit limit on the site, where you play. If you then tilt it away in a single session, you dont play for the rest of the month. In this situation your reward for learning to control your tilt is, that you will be able to play for more hours every month and hopefully have a lot more fun.

The other way is to use bankroll management. This mean defining, how high stakes you are allowed to play with a certain bankroll. Lets say you start with a bankroll of $100, and you want to play cash games. Then you deposit those $100 to a poker site and decide, that you always need to have at least 30 BIs for the level, you are playing, so for instance $150 for 5NL, $300 for 10NL etc. So if you have $126 at the start of the session, you know already, that you are only going to play 2NL, assuming this is the lowest stake available.

Bankroll management in itself makes it close to impossible to lose all your money in a single session. But it can also be a good idea to combine it with a session stop-loss, so that if for instance you are down 5BIs ($10 at 2NL) in a session, then you are done for the way. In this situation your reward for learning to control your tilt (and improve your game) is, that you might eventually see your bankroll grow and be able to play higher stakes without risiking more than your initial $100 investment.

You have to figure out what You are doing wrong. This game is not just good luck/bad luck. If you are having so much bad luck then it might be time to start studying and figuring out what is happening. Studying will help you figure your own self out, why you play the way you play, tilt control, etc. It’s just as important to know yourself as it is to know your opponents. This can all be learned it just takes time and patience on your part. Good luck I hope you can get it all figured out so this game can be more fun for you.

Only you can help yourself.
All you can do is first and foremost realise that you are responsible for your game. Discipline is the factor that you need if you want to have any real prospects. Without discipline, the day will come when you will realise that everything was in vain and then you will be deeply disappointed. Discipline and bankroll management are two components that will allow you to change everything for the better.

I'm sorry to say it has never happened to me, I have never lost my entire Bankroll on one game, Why? Because as others have said already, I use a Bankroll Strategy that works for me.
It's no secret, and when you first start playing Poker, it is easy to believe that you can deposit X amount of cash and win the first game you register for, Poker is not anything like that, It takes time and dedication to become a Profitable Player, It is hard work and if you are not prepared to put the hours in, then you may as well quit now.
Book's I have read have whole chapters on Bankroll Management and how it can work for you, Even some Tutorials on Line will dedicate a whole lesson on the subject, It's not Rocket Science, and I know from experience how down swings in your game can hit you, but sticking to a strategy that works is extremely important. I have had days/weeks where nothing seems to go right and I lose every game I register for, but sticking to a BR Strategy helps to cushion those days until I am back on form and can win more than I lose.
I stick to a 1% strategy, which means I never buy-in for more than 1% of my Bankroll, So starting the day with only $100 in my account, I will not buy-in for anything more than a Dollar, If I had $1,000 in my account than a $10 buy-in would be my top limit.
I know some players who will say that it is too extreme and 2% would be better, but I use what works for me and I am Profitable. I have had days where I have played for 10 hours straight, buying into Dollar games and not cashing in any of them, but at the end of the day, I have only lost 10% of my Bankroll Limit, Coming back the following day and cashing in every game I buy-in to.
Poker On-line is not a Milk machine that you can milk whenever you need extra cash, It is highly competitive, and there are good players on every level, even on the $1 buy-ins, Some don't even care if they Win or Lose in a Dollar game because they can afford to burn that money and Like myself only play On-line for Fun!
I wait for my Live games before I start to get really serious about playing Solid Poker, but it is no Fun when you are losing money hand over fist!

This is excellent advice. If you can't handle any of the methods above there's a big chance that you do not have the discipline to play poker for money. At least not any amount of money that means something to you. It's sad but true.

I always look at best value when selecting tourneys to play, considering field sizes, speed of play and most importantly any decision factors into bankroll management.
i will choose on specific poker days i play to play X amount of tourneys for a combined X value and stick to that, i used to love spin and go's because for a while they were super profitable and especially where tickets were rewards.
Started micro level, levelled up to low buy ins and the most i pay for a tourney these days is $109.

My favourite equity is and always will be knockout tourneys - my particular best style of play.
