Start with freerolls many of us do, and don't be in too much of a hurry to level up and start buying into games. Research bankroll Management and find a strategy that works for you,, Every one has different reasons for Playing Poker, For me it is just the Fun of the Challenge to beat everyone on my table and be number one. The money is Immaterial.
I don't Play On-line Poker to be Rich, It takes a lot of hard work, which I am not in any hurry to do again, and for me it is nothing more than a Hobby, A Hobby that pays for itself with money I have won from Freerolls and used to buy into Micro Stake games, With a $600+ Bankroll I can afford to lose $5/$10 Dollars a Game, but I prefer not to and most of the time I still buy in for 50 Cents or a Single Dollar. Why? Because Poker is Fun!

When the Fun Stops, STOP!

Hello, pokerwais! The most of simple method by my opinion: this to play in the freerolls, that to earn your initial bankroll
for the tournaments with buy-ins, and etc!.. Therefore, Go Ahead and Good Luck, of course!

As mentioned before, CardsChat's 30 days course is great where you will definetly learn a lot.
Other than that I recommend practice in CC freerolls.
If you stay active you can participate in silver and platinum freerolls as well which also will help you improve and eventually gives you a bankroll

You don't need to spend your own money to play poker. All you need is to become a platinum member of our community. By accessing our platinum freerolls, you can quickly build a bankroll from scratch, without any risk. CardsChat community is cool :)
Please read the detailed conditions for acquiring the platinum level here:

If you don't have $120 to start play freerolls.

If you got $120-$150 buy Poker Tracker and deposit the rest on a regulated site that let's you play 2nl hopefully there is one for your country and I hope it's pokerstars. That is the best case. $50 for 2nl isn't ideal for a bankroll but if one can't adjust their schedule for when the freerolls are then it's the best cheapest option. I've done bankroll challenges and usually start with $50 at 2nl so it can be done and you can grow a bankroll that way.

I personally prefer depositing $50 and playing 2nl over freerolls. 2nl cash full-rings tables are easier with way less variance then any MTT's. You could play freerolls all year and never final table or win. After a year playing 2nl depending on volume you could have a few hundred dollars up to maybe 1k and be playing 5nl or 10nl. At worst if you're a winning player you should have a few hundred and be taking shots at 5nl.

If you don't have that much money or a regulated site that has tables as low as 2nl then you need to stick with the freerolls. Save any money you have. Put it in a separate bank account from your everyday used account. Make sure that bank allows online poker/gambling deposits. In canada that's CIBC or BMO. Put a little away every pay month/paycheque into that account. My 2nd bank account for poker also is for any and all online shopping I do. Nothing I do online has access to the bank account my pay cheque gets deposited into. Also I never keep a lot of money in the account I use for only poker/online things just in case. Money stays in that account only mins before it's used. Be smart and you'll never lose huge money or any money to scams or hackers if they manage to get in.

Take this sites 30 day course. Don't bother buying any courses/books at this point. There is plenty enough free poker knowledge on the internet that is good enough to have you beating micro/low stakes. Just use google.

Study Study Study. Learn by starting to play a Tight Aggressive(TAG) style. Also get yourself some preflop charts and start using and studying them. Learn the ranges for a TAG style from early position(EP), middle position(MP) and late position(LP). You also wanna study blind ranges and blind defense ranges.

Don't play over villains or your player pools head. Don't over think it or make it complicated. Don't play with a scalpel when a hammer is the right tool. Majority of these guys aren't big thinkers. Playing over there heads will cost you money hand over fist.

At micro/low stakes bluff less. When you bet and don't be afraid to bet big/huge when you got pretty near the nuts or have the nuts. A lot of these don't care or even pay attention to the bet size. They'll call anything if they like their cards. I've seen guys call an all-in for a pot of mere pennies plenty of times with mid pair when it was obvious they were destroyed. That's losing an all-in and most times an extra $1.80+ for no reason.

Sorry for the novel hope that all makes sense and helps you some. It should more then get you started on the right path. Best of luck at the tables.

Cheers!!!

Play plenty of freerolls. Pokerstars and 888 have tons of them. You basically need reps to improve. The game is actually easy enough to play to a standard. You can build a small risk free bankroll too from frerolls. Buy a book or two, they have good examples of hands and how to play in certain situations.

Playing freerolls and low buy-ins will inevitably result in players who are too weak to learn anything. So, if you don't have much money, try practicing what you learn with the pros and see if you win a few times to build up a good stack bank.
