I’ve been thinking a lot about how to measure real progress in poker. It’s easy to just look at winnings or losses, but that doesn’t always reflect improvement. For example, sometimes I feel like I played very well but still ended up losing because of variance, while other times I won but knew I made mistakes.
So my question to the community is: how do you personally track your poker progress?
Do you use tracking software to analyze your hands and stats?
Do you focus more on bankroll growth, or on making better decisions hand by hand?
Have you set specific goals, like improving ITM percentage, reducing early bust-outs, or mastering certain stack sizes?
I’d love to hear how other players keep themselves motivated and measure development over time.
