If I were in your shoes with just $1 on GG, I’d focus on ultra-low-risk games that still offer a real shot at growth. freerolls should be your main grind—they cost nothing and can slowly build your roll if you place well. On top of that, look for the cheapest Spin & Gold or micro sit & go formats (like $0.25 or $0.10 games) so you’re not risking it all at once. The key is strict bankroll management—never put more than 10–20% of your roll on the line in a single game. It’ll feel slow, but with patience and discipline, you can turn that $1 into $10 without going broke.

$1 is a waste of time and not a bankroll. Current best options are :
1) Stay playing freerolls. This can take a long time to win anything IF ever.
2) Deposit $50 and start playing 2nl full-ring. If you can't to lose $50 poker likely isn't for you(just being honest). If you're a good winning player depending on volume you can play this takes 5-8 months. The race is too $500.
In my opinion and 20+ years experience the new years players or micro players the race is too a $500 bankroll which is when you can start playing $5 MTT's or 10nl.
I'm sure other winning players took a different path but I'll also bet they're more recently studied then me and therefore better players. The path I took/take is good for newer players still studying and learning the basics and developing their game. I enjoy it for the challenge cause it's still a challenge to go from $50-$500 playing cash tables and then $5000+ playing MTT's and cash.

I recommend playing in our CardsChat freerolls and other freerolls available to you. Use the tickets you receive as daily rewards and don't spend money on the game. Then very quickly you will have a bankroll of $100 instead of $10.
