I say that to myself a lot , i.e., that I should start shoving a lot out of the blue like I see others doing. I kind of did that today but waited till the flop at which point he actually had a hand. So he made middle pair with a flush draw. Neither of our hands improved and he won. ** Of note - I see lots of people play AJ over-cards all-in from the flop al the time. I just rarely do it myself.

I wouldn't call that a loss since I play with that member a lot and now I know for sure that he steals with very weak cards, and how far he's willing to go and with what type of hand.In some ways playing to lose is a good strategy as you gain useful insight. And it was 'just' a freeroll.
