I've been thinking a lot lately about the art of exploiting opponents. After all, poker is not just a “perfect GTO” game, but also about finding vulnerabilities and exploiting them. 🃏
Here's my question to all of you:
👉 What tools do you use to identify and exploit weak players?
👉 How do you tag strong or weak opponents?
👉 What signs or trends help you identify when someone is bluffing a lot, is too passive, or is simply overestimating their hands? 🤔
Personally, I try to pay close attention to betting patterns and time signals. For example:
If someone always makes a small contbet with air but a big one with a strong hand, I'll notice it right away. 📝
If I see that a player never protects their BB, I mark it as a place to steal the blinds from. 🚀
I note that bluffing against tighter opponents may not be the best idea.
I also use colored tags in the client: red for dangerous regulars, green for passive opponents, yellow for unknown players. Thus, when I sit down at the table, I already have a plan of action: who to press and who to be more careful with.
What about you guys?
Do you use software, HUDs, trackers, or just take mental notes? And how do you get the most out of your observations?
