A lot depends on 9-max, 6-max (or less), and what position you are in.
Hand values can change according to the type of game above and lower value hands should only be played in later positions.

Offsuit Aces (such as As-7, As-5, etc.) should be played cautiously out of position, as they are often difficult to maneuver. Raise sensibly so as not to invest too many chips with a marginal hand, and avoid big pots if the flop doesn't help. If you hit an As, bet moderately to protect your hand, but be ready to fold if the board or the opponents' actions get you into trouble. These hands can be profitable, but you need to manage the pot size and avoid committing too much without a strong hand.
