Experienced players may lose their concentration,as a poker session progresses.Concentration is the ability to direct your attention to a specific task or thought, such as the decision to call, raise or fold.Attention, on the other hand, is the ability to maintain that focus for an extended period without being distracted.During long sessions, the brain experiences difficulty maintaining focus, which leads to less good errors and decisions.Dr. Tricia Cardner, she is the author of Positive Poker, Peak Poker Performance, and co-author of Purposeful Practice for Poker. You can find her on https://www.peakpokermindset.com/.

I have never played more than 3 hours of poker online…I’m OK usually, but I have started to nod off on occasion when I haven’t slept well…it has never been a problem playing live poker…Day 1 of the 2019 wsop Colossus was 15 hours of gruelling stressful play…trust me, no chance of losing focus.

Great insight! Staying focused is definitely one of the toughest challenges in poker. Thanks for sharing Dr. Cardner’s work — I’ll check out her site.

Sometimes there are tournaments that last more than 8 hours, and it's good to somehow relax! In her books you can find out how to achieve this, what to do, how to think, etc.

This is why my favorite tournament is a Single Table SnG.

Cardschat Team League number of players is about right also. Larger numbers of players in a tournament certainly requires greater focus and concentration.

Alege jocuri care nu au obligații de timp)
I mean tournaments that take a long time until the final table! That's why we started this discussion for our members who are good to know how to proceed...

Concentration is definitely a very important factor. Players who are concentrated on the game have a better chance of a good result. Provided, of course, that they don't play all their hands in a row, like some people :)
