(Deep stack) open shoving with aces is not necessary a costly mistake, it mostly costs you money you don't win (basically in 90% of the time everyone will fold and you only get the blinds instead of potentially extracting more value from the hand). AA vs 22 is honestly a good scenario here, calling a shove with pocket twos is a huge blunder unless you are comically short stacked, you just got bad luck here, aces win in this particular spot I believe 8 or 9 times out of 10.
