My big mistake was that when I started playing poker, I thought that knowing the basic rules of the game was more than enough. I knew practically nothing about such a thing as bankroll management, I didn't even know the word. And of course, all this led to money losses and disappointment.

Getting frustrated with the slowness of poker and thinking I could easily make a pile at roulette lol. It's a lesson best learned with a bankroll made on freeroll winnings.
