Did anyone else have problems not respecting the bankroll in the beginning?
I think everyone, or at least 99% of players, had such problems. My problem was that I didn't even know about the existence of such a concept as ‘bankroll management’ and therefore couldn't follow it. The result was repeated loss of my bankroll.

I think most players must have this problem in the beginning . It's the enthusiasm that drives you playing more recklessly , the promise of an easy win , a miracle win , which of course is a fairy tale

Yes I used to raise stakes when a tournament didnt go my way. Chasing losses is the worst way to go.

I don't know about others, but I definitely had them. I lost my bankroll about 4-5 times, and it always happened because I played in tournaments with too high buy-ins, which I couldn't really afford, and then there were emotions, and then there was nothing :)

i think everyone does at the start we all want to play higher buy ins for bigger rewards. it also depends on what other income you have to top the bankroll up when needed

I think the only people who didn't have any problems were those who didn't play poker. Lack of knowledge leads to financial losses. But members of the CardsChat community can avoid these unfortunate moments. We have good, high-quality training materials that are available to everyone completely free of charge :)

One of the most important things for success in poker is controlling your bankroll. The higher the variance of your game, the higher your bankroll should be.

Yes of course, I think almost everyone struggles with bankroll discipline at first. It’s tempting to take shots or play above your limits, but over time I learned that respecting bankroll rules is what actually keeps you in the game long enough to improve and build steadily.
