The All-in Bet

Hoping someone could help me with this scenario. The game "No-Limit Texas Hold em'" - - Blinds are $1000 & $2000 - two players limp in and then the player on the button raises all-in for a total of less than 2x the big blind. What options do the remaining players in the hand have?

This is my understanding; let me know if I am correct:

The players in the blinds who have yet to act can fold, call the all-in bet or raise; the players who limped in can fold, call the all-in bet (but not raise) if the all-in bet is less than half a big blind or they can fold, call or raise if the all-in bet was more than half a big blind.

I've been unable to find any definitive answers in any rule books when it comes to a no-limit game so this is how we have been handling the scenario in our poker league. For those who know, let me know

Honestly, I am not quite sure of the exact ruling here. I believe what you said to be true, but if someone with more experience/knowledge than me can confirm or deny that, please say so as I am now also interested in seeing if this is correct.

The all in bet has to be at least a minimum raise. If its not a minimum raise, it doesn't re-open the betting.

I think that depends how many blinds do you to call or raise this allin and if your hand is very strong to play with another players that can put all in after you.

The All in bet Is simple. When the pot is more than 50% of your stack , you should go all in. only if you think you have the nuts !! I mean wiining hand. Also I never put all mi chips before the flop, unless someone put me all in and I have a really strong hand. BYE BYE guys and good luck on the tables.
