Poker it's a game of good, and bad decisions.
It's a game of skills, patience, luck, and math.

After my return to the tables, I’ve encountered many unpredictable players. Their game is erratic, but I find that brief observation reveals patterns. I focus on identifying key tendencies such as impulse bluffs, passive traps, or sudden aggression. Based on that, I decide whether I’ll bluff, restyle, or simply let them make a mistake. I’m still refining my approach, but the early results have been encouraging.

I try to pot control hands that look strong but are not that strong in reality. Sometimes i will try to set a trap to benefit from their aggression, especially in late position.

If they are passive unpredictable i will limp along with lots of hands that coukd hit strong flops and overbet with very strong hands.

Unpredictable players are fun to play against. I have to analyze what they are doing, if they are a good unpredictable player or a bad unpredictable player then try to formulate a plan to play against them. It’s good to stay out of the way until we start seeing their cards during showdowns, that helps.

Two different answers... Online when I see unpredictable moves I try to use sharkscope or the HUD to have some baselines on what style is he or she playing, If i dont have any sharkscope or HUD only observation AND my style Will be the most simples possible, until I figure OUT what style is that player playing...
When It's live poker game, I try to do subtle questions, like 'I guess you had AK there' 'How would you play a pocket pair there' usually people do not bluff enought their strategie while talking, but observation between what he or she says \ AND do ...
Just observation and Active listening to what the other players also seem from this unpredictable player...

I was talking about this with a friend. He's been playing on pokerstars for years and says he doesn't play freerolls because the levels are low and you find recreational players, or people who play worse, he says that since he made bankroll (back, amount of money or reserve to play several tournaments) he stopped playing freerolls, I for my part play them to train and improve my game, and because I still haven't managed to win a big prize to be able to do what my friend is doing. According to him, in tournaments of 3 dollars and up you come across better level players and there are not so many recreational players anymore and if there are, it's the experienced players who feed on those fish. Having come to a conclusion, we all know that it is almost impossible to win 1 tournament per day or 1 tournament per week, reaching cashes is normal, the difficult thing is to get among the first 10, and winning 2 consecutive tournaments in 1 day or 1 week is a lottery and when I say winning it is not necessarily being the first, since getting among the first 4 or 5 is good money.

Poker isn’t just a game of math—it’s a game of behaviour and actions...Am I right?!

Your best weapon against these players is the notes you make daily, because you know what hands he uses, if he bluffs a lot, if he plays 1 hand only when he has cards, if he plays a lot with aces and no other cards, everything.

It depends a lot, there are unpredictable players who are more aggressive and others who are not, but the ideal against these players is to play solidly since against them luck is more involved.

You’re absolutely right. Poker is psychological warfare as much as math. Against unpredictable players, I tighten up and let them make the big mistakes. I focus on value betting strong hands and avoid bluffs. Let their chaos work in my favor... patience always wins in the long run.

If I don't understand my opponent, I just try to analyze his every action and watch his game. If I don't understand my opponent, then after 20-30 minutes of play, in most cases, I begin to understand what he is and how he can do it. I think observation and analysis is the most relevant way to understand.

Being unpredictable, I think, is the best thing about poker. The word says it all. I don't think there's a formula for these players, because if they have that status, you never know what awaits us.

A good poker player would evaluate how that player deviates from the game theory optimal line and seek to exploit the deviations. I would just play rough gto and lose potential money out there, because it requires too much brain power I don't possess.

Don't take too many chances. Only play with strong hands and avoid using marginal hands in draws, especially against aggressive players.

I don't believe there's a formula for dealing with unpredictable players, and I believe there are very few of them because an unpredictable player hasn't yet defined his playstyle, and this is undoubtedly a negative point for him in the long run. I don't consider predictable or unpredictable as a playstyle, frankly.

I think he wrote a book about it. Yes, called "Changing gears" - quite an advanced book I think.

Being an unpredictable player sometimes depends on who you are playing, as has already been said. I like to think of myself as unpredictable, but some may say I am totally predictable. It depends on the skill of the opponent, being able to read a player's stance or style.

Against unpredictable players I play more simple. Play strong premium hands and look for nice easy spots. Try not to play out of position and try not to juice pot without monster hand
