Yes, there are. Here is a list of tournaments $11 and under for this evening

They have $10 freerolls every hour during the day/evening. These are a max of 100 entrants so they fill up fast.

The RH freerolls are "raked hands" freerolls so you have to have played a certain number of real money cash hands within a certain period of time to register.

The Freebuys are freerolls that also have real money re-buys and add-ons.

The real money buy-in tournaments start at $0.55. I like the $1.10 $200 GT R&A and the $250 GT R&A tournaments.

A great tournament is the $1,000 GT R&A witha $5.50 buy-in.

I wouldn't call them "Nazis", but they cost taxpayers $27 million for their fun in the sun. I believe they have a huge debt to pay and am very happy that at least some of the bank accounts of the organizers were frozen. I would like to see the municipal, provincial and federal governments recoup all of the costs to the people of canada from them.

And if this were a "police state" it would have ended much differently and much more quickly.

Sorry about that. Had I known there was going to be so much interest in Playnow I would have started a different thread. We were comparing Ontario's plans with how regulated poker was managed in other provinces and it kind of spiraled.

I think it's safe to say Ontarians will lose freeroll club access to PokerStars, 888, GGpoker, etc. but I think we will still have access to ACR/BCP, etc.

I wonder how many people really don't want this bill to be passed. It looks like the petition was started a month ago. It only has 89 signatures so far despite the fact it's been posted on pocketfives, Cardschat, Twitter and apparently a Tictok page with 285K followers.

The petition page says that "Poker always suffers when the player pool diminishes". Does it? I really like playing on a site with a small player pool. I see a lot of complaints here on Cardschat whenever the freerolls have an unusually large number of entrants, i.e., when a password gets shared.

The petition page also says "To take away their opportunity to play international will considerably affect peoples ability to find games, and in some cases even making a living." I have no trouble at all finding games to play on a site that caters to only 3 Canadian provinces. That said, I'm not a professional. I don't need to have 24 cash tables to play concurrently against recreational players with deep pockets and maybe some who are playing with their rent money.

888 informed me today that they are going live April 4th and balances will be migrated over automatically which is nice. Still waiting on confirmation on the currency they are going to use though, and still no news from Stars or officially from Party.

Two weeks tomorrow is not a lot of time...

I've only received one direct contact regarding this migration and that was from unibet. I know of a couple of publicly traded online poker firms but haven't taken a real look at the potential impact contractually and financially on the sites that are transitioning. There was a site or two I came across in Quebec where you needed to be a resident to play. As has been mentioned, traffic will be a determining factor.

Still has the best software by far as long as you disable all the junk graphics that has nothing to do with poker, allows use of HUDs
GG
Good software but again way too much junk, no 3rd party Huds allowed but does have one built in and has a good mobile version
Party
Have not played in over a year but was never a fan, no HUDs allowed

888
Only played there because of CC, hate the software but does allow 3rd party Hud use

Will most likely stick to Stars or GG but will depend on who has the most traffic once we get Ring Fenced.

Mind you, Unibet was also licensed in Ontario, offer poker globally but have declined to do so in Ontario so hard to say until they announce officially:

The PC app of 888 is bad ,keeps crashing.
The mobile app is really good and it's geared more towards casual gamers.Also the best part was lots of freerolls for regulars such as 100K freerolls and freerolls based on levels .

I think 888 Poker has the best mobile app.
