Personally I don't need to make money from playing Poker because It will only ever be a Hobby for me, but at the same time I want a Hobby that pays for itself. If it was costing me money, I would certainly think long and hard about doing it at all.
I feel the secret to being a profitable player is to set your boundaries, stick to them religiously, and don't try to fly before you can walk. I have had some bad days where I couldn't make the money in any game I played, I have also had days where I made the money in every game I played. But sticking to a Strategy that works for me, means I am never losing more than 10% of my Bankroll in any one day.
If you deposit $100 Dollars. then playing anything over $10 buy-in is just Dumb! Stick to buy-ins that are 1% or 2% of your deposit and it gives you something to work with, and Yes it is work, Hard Work! But if you are passionate about trying to make a living from the game, then you have to be aware of your losses as well as your Victories!
