For me, it's already helping with patience and emotional control. And for you? What positive has poker brought to your personal life?

I tried to come up with something, but honestly the answer has to be - nothing. Poker is just something I do. I like to play. I've learned how to play better, even if I don't always practice what I've learned. But I can't say that what I've learned from poker has transferred to any other part of my life.

I've been playing for over 57 years, during which time I was improving my patience, emotional control and more health for my brain (making my brain work better, avoiding creating webs of forgetfulness)

Almost nothing, I was raised by psychiatrist (mother) - "reading" people from my diapers time... 😁

+ my grandfather was fantastic poker player, teach me about poker in my kindergarten!

This all doesn't mean I never make mistakes at the table, yes - like we all do! 😉

I have started eating less fish outside of poker, as I get enough of it at the poker tables. :ROFLMAO: But if seriously, poker taught me to believe in my own abilities and gave me hope for a carefree future. :)

I never thought about what poker could have taught me away from the tables, but the issue of patience would be a good learning parameter. Especially when you participate in a long tournament, there is no point in trying to resolve things in a hurry. It is always good to wait for the right moment to make a decision, and in poker this moment can take longer than we would like.

1. If I make a mistake or fail then I have to focus on fixing and coming back - never give up.

2. Live poker made me extremely polite. I call everybody "Sir" and it transferred into my life away from the table.

3. Again from live poker - I don't care what you look like - but I do care about how you behave.

Poker has taught me patience, emotional control, and decision-making under pressure—skills that apply in life far beyond the tables.
