Hi :)
Yes, absolutely. Poker has changed me. I've become more patient and more disciplined, and I've learned to concentrate better.

Of course, when you work or are passionate about something that requires you to think before making decisions, you become more rational in your decision-making process.

In general, poker is a very life-like game. It teaches us patience, in poker you quickly understand how much worse the situation is, how much more difficult the decisions become if you enter preflop with an initially bad hand.

I used to want everything fast. Now I'm waiting, thinking and in no hurry. Has poker changed your approach to things?
Poker taught me to resummon important life choices 100+ times in order to minimize variance. Not sure if your marriage choice is going to be successful, but pretty sure that your choice is +EV in the long run? Just marry around 1000 times with the similar general strategy and your profit is pretty much statistically guaranteed.

It's a good lesson on why other casino games don't work though, that's for sure. Honestly, don't understand why decent poker players often have gambling addictions, this is like the polar opposite of what you learn when studying poker

Patience is an essential prerequisite for success in poker. But it must be combined with sound logical reasoning to ensure that making the best decisions is crucial and allows you to win hands. Success and patience go hand in hand in a poker tournament.

I was also very aggressive once but became very calm. Either because I've lost so much or I've grown older. Pick something out xD

I’ve noticed that when I play carefully, I tend to get better results.
But when I try to play more aggressively, things usually don’t go well.
I guess everyone has their own approach to success in this game.

You definitely have to have a lot of patience, when I started I wanted everything quickly and when I lost I got frustrated, but poker requires study and a lot of practice and that comes with time.

🎣 ...Poker really does teach you patience — it's like casting a fishing rod and calmly waiting to see what luck brings your way. But the truth is, sometimes it gets under your skin and makes you feel a bit on edge....

I completely agree with you. Over time, both our playing style and our perspective on things change. Aggression in the beginning might come from excitement or overconfidence, but accumulated losses — or simply growing older — teach you that calmness isn’t weakness, it’s a hidden strength. Staying calm gives you clarity, and wisdom often comes from experience… or from scars ...

Absolutely right, there's no need to rush in poker, because every decision matters for your stack. Has poker helped me in real life? Absolutely! I've become more thoughtful when making important decisions.

Over the course of many years of playing, you do develop tolerance which is important in poker.

Poker definitely teaches patience because success often comes from waiting for the right spots rather than acting impulsively. You can fold dozens of hands before a good one appears, and even then, you must wait for the perfect moment to extract value. Patience is also required to endure downswings, study consistently, and stick to a bankroll plan. Impulsive players tend to lose quickly, while patient players survive and thrive long-term. Poker turns patience into a crucial life skill.

Totally relate to this — poker has a sneaky way of teaching patience, discipline, and how to read the bigger picture. It's not just about cards anymore, it kind of shifts how you handle life in general.

If you’re into poker and want to explore solid online platforms to play on, https://mtgal.com is a great place to start. They review trusted sites so you can focus on the game, not worry about where you’re playing.

Poker has taught me pace. sometimes appearing in a hurry can be a good tool to manipulate. timing of action is one of the few angles we get online

Yes, poker has changed me. Thanks to poker, I have become more patient, even calmer and more constructive. These changes have had a positive impact on my personal life. I have started working harder and taking temporary difficulties in stride. I just work and move toward my goals.
