What is the legal status of poker in your country and how do you get around the restraints of grey areas?

Here in norway its not illegal to play poker but its heavily regulated. Its illegal for the banks to transfer money to gambling companies so I have to use crypto most of the time to play online

Here in my country (brazil) playing poker is not illegal, but also is not regulated. Recently they regulated sports bets here, but not poker. We can deposit and receive money from poker rooms to our bank accounts without problems. Of course we need to pay taxes if win some decent amount of money (around 27.5%).

Hi :)
I live in Ukraine and we don't have such strict restrictions at the moment. You can play, make deposits and withdraw money to a bank card. The only thing that upsets me is that many good poker sites have stopped working in my region.

Playing poker for money in Latvia is quite possible, but you need to choose the right poker rooms. Some rooms have stopped providing access to local users. Most poker rooms do not accept users from Latvia, so local poker players need to look for rooms where they can register and play without any problems.

In my country, all the jumps that have paid a license operate on the legal market, those that have not paid a license cannot be accessed, so there is nothing illegal.

In my country, which is South Africa, poker is legal, but I would say there are not many playing options for live poker.

Under Japanese law, operating gambling illegally or participating in illegally operated gambling is prohibited. However, gambling is not completely banned since there are publicly operated forms of gambling. Also, although they are not casinos, there are privately run gambling operations that exist in a legal gray area. Services like online poker that are legally operated overseas are prohibited from advertising within Japan, but access to them is not banned. Aside from tax issues, there appear to be no cases of arrests related to using such services.

In recent years, amusement poker has become popular in Japan, with tournaments being actively held. Although participation requires cash, offering prize money would violate the law, so support for participation in overseas tournaments serves as an alternative.

In my country, playing in state-licensed casinos is legal. But outside of that, it is illegal.

I live in the Republic of Belarus. Offline poker can be played in clubs, tournaments are held, but online poker is becoming more difficult, many poker rooms are not available to us now, there is almost nowhere to play.
