The most I ever won in a casino was $5567 on a Super Wheel Blast slot machine. I was playing the minimum of $1 per spin, when I caught the bonus spin and landed on the Jackpot Wheel. There are two jackpots and I got the "Major". The woman beside me was going crazy. I played it rather cool - I am not a screamer. But there were a few fist pumps.
My wife won $4700 (approximately) on a slot machine. Can't remember the name.
My best ever day in a casino poker room was a $475 profit on a $3/$6 limit holdem table in Scottsdale, Arizona. The cards were coming my way for sure.
My post was a response to the question about a one day win. There's "winning" and there's "winnings". I find that people often talk of how much they "win" at a certain time, but of course the real winning has to be subtracted from the long-term slot bets.
Slots is truly gambling and we both enjoy playing them.I'm certainly not trying to pick on you or your post. Hitting a big jackpot has to be nice, but it just made me wonder about the way we think about gambling, perhaps with a tendency to push the total losses aside to enjoy the winning moments.
I don't mind answering most of your question. Yes, since retiring, my wife and I have included casino visits in our entertainment budget. While some people spend money on concerts, sporting events, and other big ticket items, we enjoy casinos. So, taking that idea into account, do you and the missus play slots regularly, or did you both get your big wins from a relatively low number of attempts? And if it's a regular thing, what would you honestly say is your net winnings or losses in the long run, if you don't mind me asking?
~ $750What is the most money you WON in one day at a Casino?
- pure luck of course. I was also playing with the casino's money. And how did you do it?
- online slots.(Example: Was it craps, poker, slots, or all....let's hear the story too).

You are correct - the long-term determines winnings, while a single play on a slot can determine a big win.

Naturally, I prefer to play poker, but do join her on the slots from time to time.
The Covid-19 lockdown has eliminated our casino trips and many other entertainment activities. We are saving money.
I am a fanatic about tracking our income and expenditures, and know that slots is not a long-term winning proposition.
The infrequent big wins are just nice surprises.
Where do you live that you do not have access to casinos? Thanks for the bit of insight. I haven't had access to casinos for most of my life, so I guess I've never thought of them as entertainment venues -- only gambling halls, but I appreciate your point about them replacing things like sporting events or concerts. We forget how expensive those things can be.
Hopefully, your brother and his wife think of something useful to spend that $1500 on - like maybe his brother? My wife and I might take that much money to a casino for a two day/one night visit, and still come home with money (or not - if our luck is running bad.) That gives us about 12-16 hours of play time (poker / slots), a couple of comped meals, and a comped night in the hotel. My brother and his wife were tossing around the idea of getting some tickets to see the Montreal Canadiens play the Leafs in Toronto and found tickets on Groupon for a mere $700 EACH. So, attending that game would have cost them an easy $1500. I'm sure it can be done cheaper but not much cheaper. That would probably cover a lot of time at the slots.
