I dont think its cheating, it gives you a slight advantage, especially with this player, but you play against several more players whos only disadvantage is not knowing 2 less cards than you.

I think there would be a difference also if the player is seated before or after you.
If he speaks before you and you see he has better cards than you, you will most probably fold and dont risk chips.
But if he speaks after you, there you have a better edge as you are going to speak before him after cards are shown and you definitely know if you are winning or not.

either way, and dont think its cheating, we use any available resources during a poker game, reading players, taking notes, if someone shows their cards its his/her mistake, its not that you are forcing them to do it or that no one is noticing what is happening.

I think cheating is doing something that the rest of players dont know you are doing to take advantage, the key, i think, is that you are not doing anything behind the scenes or intentionally hiden,
