I went on a cruise ship recently and they had an electric poker table where you can play 1-2 NL. It was the weirdest thing ever. It was like playing online but with everyone right there. Anyone else tried these tables and what do you think of these tables? I miss having chips to shuffle lol. Anyways it was a super soft game. People that are 18 are allowed to gamble so I thought that was pretty cool for the younger folks to get a taste of live poker. I got lucky and didn’t have any real players at the table. I only ended up playing one night for about an hour, bought in for $200 and cashed out $510.00. I would have played all night but it was a cruise and I didn’t want to leave my spouse hanging while I’m playing. Family first.
It was fun, give it a try if you get the opportunity! Good luck all!

I tried it a couple of times years ago. It takes a few moments to get used too, That being said, all the players (not including me) were absolute beginners and novices! Through variance they were able to win a few small pots but overall it paid our complete alcohol and spa bill!

Have wanted to go on a poker cruise ever since reading Big Deal by Anthony Holden... ^^

You'd struggle to get me on a cruiseship otherwise (unless it was entirely populated with Bare Naked Ladies [naturally])... :sneaky:

I have played on those multiple times - almost always win.

We went on a Virgin cruise in May and there was a WPT poker room on the ship! I was very excited at first and played in 3 tournaments, cashed in 1. But then I calculated the rake and it was insane so I didn't play in any more of them.

It was cool though - real tables and real dealers. I will try the cash games next time.

I like the digi-deal tables, they deal faster, there are less mistakes, players cant spill drinks on the cards, etc.

More than 14%!?

Even 14% seems high to me! Seems that rake of MTT's of 14% or higher then can be more than 1st place wins, that doesn't seem right to me!

Double the rake ouch. I probably would have played anyways as I just love the opportunity to play on a cruise ship or anywhere else to be honest.
