Chip Leader at a cash table

Just getting started this morning, so wanted to ask this one question. I know it matters a lot to be the chip leader at a MTT table, but how about being the chip leader at a cash table. Does it give you an advantage over smaller stacks. As for me, I continue to play the same way. I don't raise every hand like I've seen so many do. And I've seen so many lose all their chips just trying to take advantage of smaller stacks. I always watch them and wait to catch the right hand, because if they raise a lot, more than likely they will call a lot. What is your opinion on this? GL you all

It doesn't make much difference against normal stacks. However, it gives you opportunity to stack other big stacks. Play wise it means that you should play safer with top pair and try to hit nuts. When you play against 2x-3x stacks, try to play more with suited connecters and pocket pairs, because you can hit nuts with them and be careful with Ax, Kx and broadway cards, because you can lose a huge pot with top pair.
