And in the event when I am on the button or cutoff, I 3-bet around 5x the original raise size. What usually happens is that I either get called going heads-up to the flop only for my opponent to give up on the first sign of a bet from me, or that same opponent folds pre.

Do any of you see yourselves using this method? Why or why not?

I have never touched the 3x button since because it allows opponents to call and catch somehow.
