This type of situation is always dangerous, but lets be honest, Poker is a strange game I was in a similar situation where the B B raised pre-flop after a person on my right had limped in and I limped also with pocket 9s, The flop came 8,9,10 and the BB pushed all-in, 
Now he had been very aggressive from the very first hand, and I felt he had maybe A/K or a big pocket pair, but when the person on my right called, I became a little worried as she had been very tight throughout the game. I took my time and pondered for a while but decided to see another card and called.
A 10 hit on the turn and she checked, Now I believed she was playing J/Q or something similar and had hit a straight on the flop so I just pushed the remainder of my chips all-in she called and I was spot on with my reads. The BB did have A/K suited but had missed the flop entirely, and she was holding a J/Q so my Full House took down this massive pot.
You have to play your hand whatever the flop, Turn or River dictates, sometimes you make the wrong decisions, Because she could have had pocket 10s which would have beaten me with Quads, But  Hey! That's Poker!
