[QUOTE="RiverNoHelp, post: 479165, member: 11484"] Hi Lo is my new favorite game also..It's so ridiculously full of fish on Poker Stars..Few things I have learned in the past couple of months.. 1. Play hands that have a great potential to scoop the pot. There's nothing worse than flopping a broadway straight with the ace on the board and then someone catching runner-runner low cards to take the low half of the pot. 2. Any hand with Ace-Deuce is great because it will more often than not give you the nut low, however there is also a good chance of getting counterfeited on the low if an ace or deuce hits the board..Always play hands like Ace-2-3-4 that way you have counterfeit protection towards the low.. 3. If you hit an underfill boat at a full table a good majority of the time it's no good..Don't get to war with a hand like deuces full of 6's or 3's full of 8's..You will lose big pots that way.. 4. Never play hands like 4-5-6-7 or 5-6-7-8 because even if you hit the flop hard it will consist of all low cards giving another player a chance at half the pot.. It's just not profitable to play these types of hands because scooping the pot will nearly never happen.. 5. If you flop a set you more than likely have to pair the board to win..A Set just will not win many pots in Hi LO That's about all I can come up with now..I have been playing Omaha Hi Lo nearly exclusively now for the past two months because it's just a much more enjoyable game to me.. All the cool kids play No Limit Hold Em and i've never been one to follow the crowd all that much..I want to become a more well rounded player instead of a one-dimensional Hold Em player..Let me know if you need any more advice, I'm happy to help with what I've learned so far and I too hope to learn even more about the game myself..
