I agree with Rowhub on this one, this hand is not worth playing preflop from your position. In late position when the pot is unraised and without to many opponents, it may be worth coming in with a raise to take control of the pot. But early position it should be a muck. Ofcourse the jacks are fairly strong, but you shouldn't play every hand that has pocket jacks in it. The pair of 5's is weak and even if you do hit a set of 5's on the flop you will have to fold if an opponent shows he has a big interest in the flop. It is a lot like top pair with weak kicker in texas hold'em..
 
Postflop:
You missed the flop but if your read is correct and nopanties will pay you of if you hit your boat you definatley have correct implied odds to call his low bet. Folding on the turn was also the only correct thing to do.
 
What 2 pair should you play:
It really depends on position, how aggresive the table is, and how good your oppoenents are. But as a general rule I think you should play almost any 2 pair with kings or aces in it, queens with atleast 7's in it and Jacks with 9's in it. Hands where 10's are the highest pairs are generally not worth playing. In late position and if suited or double suited you can cut back a litle on the reuirements. Even though a suited jack or queen isn't something you want to chase a flush with it may give you redraws along with the set you floppped.
