Pretty deep here so called the large 3 bet with 99 after BB cold called it. I'm probably folding this spot vs the SB only, I just dont have much info rather than that huge 3 bet to go on, though I know a 4 bet is an option instead at times. Thoughts on this? Occasionally on the right boards I can use my positional advantage to win the pot, but obviously I'm going to be calling and pretty much giving up on a lot of flops. The advantage is when I do hit the set chances are high villain(s) have hands that are going to pay me off. Very interesting flop, chances of one or both of them having an A or K are high. I was expecting to be able to extract a lot of value with the set of 9s and easily hook one of them. Of course I am stuffed set over set, and some of the time one of them definitely has AA or KK. SB more likely than BB, I would think. Anyway, pretty crazy action on the flop here after my raise. Sizing wise I didnt want to look too strong but wanted more money in the middle asap. With the following shovefest hard to put either of them on much other than AA, KK, AK and maybe A9 very rarely but I am inclined to dismiss that as neither seemed that loose. My gut said go for it. Equilab tells me I'm 38% vs both villains if I put them on AA, KK, AK. Price to call the all in was roughly 2:1, so I'm good here right? I mean the variance is going to be a real bitch lol, but coming out ahead in the long run by my shoddy late night maths.
