As a general rule, you should check when the flush hits. You can bet against very weak players with the intention of always folding to a raise (very bad against players who are capable of bluffing). That said it's generally not a huge mistake to bet. In chess terminology I'd call it an inaccuracy.

One nice thing is that so many weak players check when they hit their hand, which means that players can't just mindlessly barrel if you check to them. So the general player tendency protects your range.

River is a fold against most players. I suppose you could make a block bet, not a play I ever use but actually it does make sense here. He's less likely to raise a block bet than to bluff if you check. Bet check folding is fine.

Flop sizing is ok, but please include the pot sizes in the future. Don't make us calculate!

Fine spot to 3-bet.

Flop
You flopped an overpair, but its the worst possible overpair, and in a 3-bet pot this is not nearly as strong a hand, as it might seem. You got cold called by BTN, and unless you have some kind of information about him, usually this is going to be a very condensed range like AK, AQ, 99-QQ. And in that range you actually only beat AK and AQ, since 99 got there, and JJ-QQ had you beat the whole time. I do still think, its fine to start out with a ½ pot sized bet, but it would not be complete insane to start with a check either.

Turn
If his range is, like I outlined it above, then he can only have two combos of the flush: AQ and AK. So the flushdraw completing is not THAT important, and neither will he ever have a straight, if this is in fact his range. But if he never has a worse made hand than yours, you cant really continue to bet for value. So the play here is to check and then make a decision. You are almost kind of hoping, he check back.

River
Now you dont even beat AK, so as played a clear check-fold.
