Hello,

I just had a very good night session :giggle: Alto i had one "big"down swing and that would be this hand:
How you like to play QQ in pos? I much rather like to flatcall a 4-bet and then take decision on flops. This is not super bad play obv but if i just flat called i could have avoided geting staked.

Out of position shipping is ok. but in position it's bad in my opinion!

Better approach i think below!

Hi Bro!
It is nice to hear, that You got a"Good Night Session".
Wow! You are using POKER Tracker ;) I would like to learn this software (Is it freeware?)
About this QQ hands: I would afraid Aces at flop but I love risk and I alwayse go to the End - so rerise and Jam is ok for me :)

You seem to be very results oriented. In the first hand its ok to just call his 4-bet and see a flop in position, but blind vs. blind QQ is also strong enough to get it in preflop even for 140BB. You had 57% equity, when the chips went in, so this is long term profitable, and the result is just short term variance. Enable run it twice, if the site offer that option. In the second hand its to passive to not 4-bet QQ preflop blind vs. blind. You are also out of position, so its in your interest to make the SPR as small as possible or take it down preflop. The only reason, you think, you played this hand better, is because you flopped a set and won it.

no im in position... both hands in position. If was out of position i would have 4-bet. (what i did wrongly the first hand in my opinion was that i 5 bet when i had position.)

Thank's a lot for Your answer. I learn a lot of playing poker like a pro. I recommend it to everyone, because poker is not only just about luck.

My bad. I thought, you were SB in the second hand, but you were UTG. This changes things a lot. Not just because you are in position, but also because a BB 3-bet against an UTG open is a very strong action. Almost nobody find 3-bet bluffs in this configuration, because its so cheap to call and see a flop. Therefore I do think, its best to just call his 3-bet rather than 4-bet and condense his range to something, you are not doing well against.
(what i did wrongly the first hand in my opinion was that i 5 bet when i had position.)
I dont think, this was a mistake. Both lines are ok, because its blind vs. blind, where ranges should be the widest.

What is your Villains range for SB 4 bet? How much of that range calls a 5-bet shove that we are a head of?

Hand 2-- the turn is a board with a very low % of river cards that beats us why raise the turn? What bluffs do we have on turn--what weak value would we shove? Why would our V call us?

Congrats on the good night

I glossed over this, since the question was about preflop, but yes its definitely a mistake to raise the turn in the second hand. Hero is in position, and if he call, there is only a half pot sized bet left, so its very easy to get the money in on the river. This leave the door open for Villain to continue bluffing, and if he check to us, its looks weaker to jam the river when checked to rather than raise the turn.

OOP I have no prob getting it all in preflop. You are only in trouble vs KK and AA.

In position, I could go either way depending on stack size. All in pre is no prob either. I mean if you only call the 4bet and you are up against AA and KK, and lets say the flop comes 378 and he fires, are you gonna fold? And if the flop is A29 are you giving up too?

Or are you hoping for a favorable flop only to continue after calling the 4bet. Let's say it's AJT, you gonna continue? Most flops will not look good for you.

So if you are scared to get it in with QQ, might as well just fold to the 4bet.

You have position... call preflop and play some poker.
