I like betting this flop because we have ok position and there is a decent chance we have the best hand. We also don't want it to check around and then give a free turn card to 8 players. I think your bet sizing is way too big though. TPTK is far from the nuts in a 9-player bomb pot, and we still have 4 players left to act, as well as all the earlier players who could have checked their 2-pair or better. A small bet gets everyone with junk to fold and potentially keeps in hands we are ahead of like middle pair or a worse ace. It also keeps the pot small in case we are beat which gives us a chance to get away.

As played, we get called by a fish and are heads up in a huge pot, aka the dream situation. The 7 is scary since middle pair was definitely in his calling range on the flop, and he could have trips, but it is equally likely that he has an ace which we can potentially extract a lot of value from since fish can't fold an ace. So I favor a smaller bet here. If he calls we can go for more value on the river and if he re-raises us we basically know that we are beat since 95% of fish are not bluffing here.
