Thank you very much for the responses! you guys are very informative and helpful and this forum is by far one of the best in terms of technical knowledge and friendliness and I appreciate everybody who takes the time to look and think about the hands I post, and comment. I feel my knowledge for SB's ranges is lacking, I don't really know what SB's raising range is pre-flop but these are my original thoughts : I thought in the hand that SB could be doing this with many suited broadways, premium pocket pairs etc. I decided to call because I would be IP. On the flop I thought the Q does hit SB's range but I also think most players at 2NL just c-bet at such a high frequency regardless of the board type. I thought maybe I could float and see what developed with backdoor potential. In hindsight I am wondering if we could ever re-raise the flop here with our backdoor equity as a bluff. On the turn Villain checks and I felt like this kind of capped his range as he should probably be betting his overpairs like AA,KK. he may check call medium pairs. I decided to bet 1/3 I think my original thought was this sizing may get Ax to fold but after looking now Idk , what bet sizing do you guys think would be needed to fold out AK,AJ etc.? Villain called and I instantly regretted the turn bet sizing because I felt like this wasn't large enough to really tell us anything specific about his range, even Ax is probably calling. When villain checks river I thought he is either slow playing the Q , has a middling PP or missed his FD with overcards, probably with the intention on calling a decent bet with a hand like AK. Does BB ever have a flat calling range in this scenario or is it only 4-bet or fold ?
