Thank you for posting So often when we lose big pots it is because of the foundation of the hand. Vs passive players the hand is fine to play in LP maybe even ok to play vs maniacs in Pot O but in NLO it is not a raise maybe not even a call because of the way the maniac can play their range. You made one of the best hands you could make with the hand and we have no idea if we can call the turn profitably. As played V is shoving into 2 players the SB could have AXcc Kxcc as well so 3rd flush is not an easy turn call in this spot. When playing vs strong aggressive players in NLO we do not want to enter into pots with hands containing 3 flush cards- a 3rd nut flush draw and AQ 96gapped hands they just do not make the nuts often enough. As you saw here the reverse implied odds can kill your bankroll. By the way the BB was not a maniac in this hand- They had a double suited easy fold hand when missed and used a min 3 bet to take control of the pot preflop-then bet half pot as a semi bluff on the flop--that is not a maniac play it is a very strong Lag play. It may have been by accident not design but it is how that hand can be played if you think you are better post flop than your villains. Hope this helps :):)
