The river is another brick. You've played this passive which is completely wrong. Don't slow play aces, stick your money in until villains gives you a reason to think you're beat.

You can't be scared of a hand like 89 on this board and just go into passive mode. C bet the flop with a plan to bomb good turns and take it from there.  When villain raises you or donks into you, THEN you've got some good information and a reason to slow down or lay down.

Only a tiny part of villains range beats you here, and you need to be looking for more value and giving villain decisions to make and chances to make minus ev calls when you're likely ahead. All the times you value own yourself vs calling stations will be made up for by the times you win bigger pots against them.
