Preflop aggressor checks.  I bet $49c into the 90c pot (not rake adjusted). BTN calls UTG folds.

Turn is 8s which gives me a FH. I bet $1 into the $1.88 pot. (If my memory serves me right, it's $1.70 adjusted for rake).  He raises to $2.49. I put him on an 8 and I think he thinks I have an A. I call with the intention of check raising the river.

River is 10h. I check. He bets pot. $6.47 into $6.88 (but it's $6.47 rake adjusted).   This is bigger than I expected and it's giving me second thoughts. I think he puts me on an A but why is he betting so big?

I could have raised here, but I just called. I think in the moment I let the guy's nittyness psych me out. I hadn't seen him be so aggro on any hand before so I started to think maybe he has a boat, that was where I was irrational and psych myself out.

He likely didn't have AA so I was scared of only A8 and 87 (there was only one 7). Possibly T8. I don't think he would have called with worse than a two gapper pre flop so there actually aren't that many 8s in his range. By only calling, I left about $3.50 on the table.  It wasn't like I was risking much more by shoving.

Anyway, in the moment I couldn't go through all of this in my head, and I let his unusual action stop me from raising.
