Well, I tried following that advice and it was my experience that striking back with rags is a really good way to bust out.  You know, they're not really "stealing your blinds" if you're sitting there with 83 offsuit.  They're just doing what they're supposed to do...make you fold rags to prevent a suckout.  And you [I]should [/I] fold a raggedy hand.

These days, I try to stay patient, let the player(s) to my right scarf a few raises into my blinds [I]if I can't realistically compete in the hand[/I], and wait for my chance to really hurt them later.  Few things are more satisfying than watching the button take a few of your blinds, go to the well once too often, and you spank them with a big hand.
