Hi everyone!
I wanted to bring up a topic that I think many tournament players can relate to — long downswings. Even when you play solid poker, there are stretches where nothing seems to go right: you lose as a favorite, your outs don’t hit, and you keep busting near the money.
I recently went through such a period myself. I was playing disciplined, but the results were far from what I expected. Eventually, I decided to adjust: I cut down the number of tables, spent more time reviewing hands, and added short study sessions to keep my mind sharp.
I’d like to hear from you:
How do you handle those tough stretches?
Do you change your strategy or just stick to your regular game?
Maybe you have rituals or tips to keep your confidence up during a downswing?
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts
