Along with studying(weekly/monthly), already having a good grasp of basic poker strategy and knowing your preflop ranges from every position. With $600 I wouldn't start any high then $5...Sit n Goes(SnG). And I'm proven 20+ year winning player(micro/low stakes cash and higher stakes MTT's).
