It happens in all Tournaments even in Casino's. I was the TD in our Local Pub and had to balance tables throughout the game, The reason is it makes it a fair game for everyone in the Tournament, You would be the first to complain that you had to post more blinds on your table if there was only 3 players left on your table and there was 7 players on the table next to you. Balancing the tables would leave 5 players on each, and therefore the blinds would hit you at around the same time as the player sat in the same spot as you on a different table. We normally had 3 tables going every week, sometimes 4 and I was constantly moving players around to balance them out, all the while trying to play the game myself, even having to move myself sometimes because you have to balance fairly and if someone that was on the BB next on one table was moved to the Dealer position on another table, he would have an unfair advantage over the other players because he misses a Blind. So there is a lot to think about when moving someone from one table to another. You have to take into account Which player went out on one table, What position he was in in relation to the dealer button, and then take a player from the same position on another table to fill the open seat. So there is no favouritism involved and even though I moved myself to a table where there might Someone who I don't like playing against or a player who happens to be a Friend of mine, I had to put personal feelings behind me and move to a table I don't want to be on regardless of my feelings. On one particular night we had a Christmas special Bounty Hunter game charging double the normal £5.00 buy-in. Half of which was paid out in bounties and the other half went into the Prize pool, with a £100.00 bonus added in from the Landlord as a Gift, We had 5 tables of 8 Players and It was a nightmare keeping track of all the tables and taking part in the Tournament myself, But I managed to make the FT and got past the Money Bubble, into the prize money and that was all I got from it Plus a few Free Beer's. lol.:)
