40bb Stack in Mid-Stage Tournaments – Pressure or Control?

I often find myself with around 40bb during the middle stages of MTTs. Sometimes I feel I’m playing too tight, even though the stack size allows for more pressure. On the other hand, aggression can quickly turn into losing a big chunk of chips. How do you usually approach this stack depth — do you apply more pressure with 3-bets and steals, or lean towards careful postflop play?

Neither, there isnt any concept like this here. Question doesnt make sense. What pressure? Control what? Compared to what baseline?
