Lightning does strike twice

I know its just a game, BUT, second time in two days flop the nuts and get outdrawn....ugh...

Don't worry. There will be happy moments too.

this was brutal, but things like this happen as long as there is the slightest mathematical chance. But of course, this is very unfortunate.

That happens to me all the time. Flop a str8 and get outdrawn by something/anything.

He had 35% equity on the flop, and losing with 65% equity is not even really a bad beat. It is a completely normal thing, which will happen several times in each session. Maybe we are sitting on a short stack and call a jam from another player with AQs to see him flip over KJo. Thats also a 65/35 situation, so pretty much exactly the same as the flop situation in your hand. So the question, you need to ask yourself, is why does this hand even stand out to you? And the answer is most likely, that you focus on irrelevant things like "having the nuts" rather than the cold and emotionless math behind poker.
